WaterAid is implementing a “Hygiene Behavior Change Coalition (HBCC) 2” in partnership with South Saharan Social Development Organization, SSDO, a project funded by the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) and Unilever. The project aims to combat new Covid-19 variants through hygiene behaviour change, rehabilitation, construction of Handwashing Facilities (HWFs) and support for increased COVID vaccine uptake. WaterAid is also implementing the Heineken African Foundation (HAF) III project in Enugu State to promote Hygiene Behaviour Change Messaging and Install handwashing facilities in public places.
The project aims to support the efforts of the government to halt the spread of infectious diseases such as Diarrhea, cholera, coronavirus, and other WASH-related diseases; and consolidate the gains and wins from previous projects in Enugu state.
