Tracking Our Collective Impact

We measure success not just in numbers, but in the livelihoods transformed and communities strengthened.

Project Background

Climate change is one of the major development challenges facing the Global South, affecting livelihoods, food security, health, ecosystems, and economic development. Addressing its impacts requires collaboration among government, industries, communities, civil society, and citizens. However, rural and indigenous communities, who are often among the most affected by climate change and environmental degradation, face significant challenges in accessing resources, participating in decision-making, and seeking justice. Industrial activities and the exploitation of natural resources can result in pollution, land degradation, and loss of livelihoods, while affected communities often have limited protection and access to appropriate remedies. The project promotes climate justice, environmental protection, and community resilience by supporting affected communities, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, strengthening indigenous climate actions, and generating research and evidence to influence policies and improve climate action.

Project Objective

Strengthen Community Resilience through Nature-Based Solutions: Empower rural communities through agroecology training, resilient seedlings, model farms, and indigenous climate adaptation practices to improve livelihoods and resilience.
Promote Climate Justice and Environmental Accountability: Support communities affected by pollution and environmental degradation to access justice, compensation, environmental restoration, and better protection of their rights.
Advance Climate Research, Policy, and Conservation: Conduct research and advocacy on climate change, adaptation, mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable environmental practices to support effective and equitable climate policies.
