Project Background

The Anambra Afforestation Project is a tree planting program funded by NCF (Nigerian Conservation Foundation) aimed at the development and conservation of natural forests in different areas of Anambra State to aid erosion control, carbon sink, research purposes, ecotourism services, economic crops marketing and most importantly job creation.

Project Objective

To provide carbon sink and contribute to climate change mitigation and to provide an environment for natural resource conservation and ecotourism services.
To restore Forest richness and sustainable utilization within Anambra State and Southeast at large.
To conserve natural forest in the University campus for research and environmental educational activities.
