Improvement
Manager

South Saharan Social Development Organization (SSDO) is a duly registered non-profit organization in Nigeria, with a primary focus of equipping young women and men with the social, health, economic, educational and political skills needed to survive and compete favourably in a vastly changing and urbanizing sub Saharan Africa. 


Since its inception in 2001, SSDO has become a viable platform for many young women and men to learn about and explore their femininity and masculinity in a non-destructive, mutually reinforcing and respectful manner that empowers them to exploit their full citizenship. 

Recognizing that full citizenship can only be achieved through economic, political and social independence, SSDO also provides women with a set of financial services and tools to strengthen their skills and income and minimize their interest in anti-social activities.
South Saharan Social Development Organization calls for application from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Programme officer.

Terms of Reference (ToR)

  •   To Develop community action plans for all target communities, facilitate the implementation and monitor these community action plans and write and submit status/progress reports monthly. 
  •  Develop case plans for a minimum of 1700 each vulnerable house-holds per annum
  •  Develop monthly, quarterly and training reports 
  •  Facilitate the establishment of Community Improvement Team for a minimum of 2 communities.
  •  Facilitate the establishment of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) at the community and local government level with industrious sons of the communities, local industries and companies.
  •  Have a good knowledge of OVC policies and its laws
  •  Facilitate community fund raising for resources for vulnerable children in that community
  •  Provide oversight for the project’s financial management system and ensure that they are in line with the organization’s policies and procedures and donor rules and regulations;
  •  Oversee project budget development and undertake regular analysis of project expenditure, sub-awards and lead the preparation of budget amendments/modification for negotiation with donors
  •  Review and monitor program budgets against actual expenditures and ensure that it’s in line with required program expenses
  •  Oversee execution of the organization’s personnel policies and ensure that policies and procedures are clearly communicated to staff, and are respected
  •  Recruit, supervise, mentor, and motivate project team which includes staff from the organization and actively work on team building to ensure productive staff.


Qualifications/Key requirements


Job type: full time

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in health or Social Sciences with knowledge of OVC laws

 Working experience: 2 years


 Location: Anambra state
