Enugu State Government endorses ‘Radio School’ mainstreams it into regular school period.
The Enugu State government through the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Prof. Uche Eze has endorsed SSDO’s flagship project ‘Radio School’ and has mandated all schools to tune into Radio Nigeria AM- 828khtz from 11:45am to 12:15 and 1:30 - 2:00pm during school hours for students to listen to the lessons. This is a big win for the project as it guarantees student listenership across the state.

‘Radio School,’ the first of its kind in Nigeria, aims at leveraging the power of the radio to deliver quality secondary education to adolescent girls and boys in Enugu and Adamawa States, using highly skilled teachers in live classroom situations. The pilot has commenced with the broadcasting of Junior Secondary School (JSS2) curriculum-based lessons in Mathematics, English, Basic Science (with emphasis on agriculture), and Civic Education.
